The 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship is underway, and the Canadian Men’s Indoor Lacrosse Team is fielding another dynamic roster hoping to defend its title from last season. Stars from the National Lacrosse League will dot the Canadian men’s roster, from eight NLL teams altogether in total. The Saskatchewan Rush have the most players with five, followed by the Colorado Mammoth, Georgia Swarm and Calgary Roughnecks, who will have four each. The World Indoor Lacrosse Championship began in 2003, and the Canadian team has won the gold medal all four times that it has been held since. As such, expectations are sky high for the Canadians as the tournament gets underway. Canada’s national team will face the United States this week, and the final game is scheduled for the end of September.
