Single-game sports betting may finally be working its way to legalization in Canada. After months of talk — and a few failed attempts in the past — NDP MP Brian Masse presented a bill he co-sponsored with Conservative MP Kevin Waugh that would legalize single-event sports betting in the country. It’s likely that the House will debate the bill in the next couple of weeks, and a formal vote on it will be held soon after. While similar bills have failed in Canada in the past, the hope is that the fact that the practice was legalized in the United States recently will sway Canadian legislators to finally come around and make it legal here, too. Lawmakers hope the overwhelming evidence about job creation, job retention and revenue for the government will help change everyone’s minds. But until then, some time will pass and if you want to spend some free time at an online sportsbook, have a look at the following site.
